Speaking x Grammar

Almost all the times, I face the fact that 99% of the students that are learning an idiom think and worry just about the fluency, and when I wanna explain some grammar stuff they just don't want to pay attention.
That's a big problem, because the majority of students don't notice that if you want to speak a new language you need to be complete, you need to know grammar, vocabulary, to be perfect on listenning and speaking. It's like a house, if don't build it very well, this house is going to fall down.
So be careful, some schools make promises like "you are going to speak English since the first class", but make a question for yourself " am I going to speak English because I'm understanding the structure of the language, or I'm going just to repeat what the teacher is saying???"
That's the thought that I want you to think about, it's very easy to say that you speak English, when actually you are just repeating.
You need to learn really what the hell is English.
In conclusion I would like to say that your fluency is just a reflex of what you've learnt, you need to know a lot of things of vocabulary, and yes, know also the monters called "GRAMMAR".
If you understand well the structure and the vocabulary of the idiom, you're going to be ready for any situation that you'll need this new language.

  1. É assim mesmo... rs Quando eu comecei a aprender, não estava nem um pouco para a gramática e só aprendi a entender, realmente, depois que me dediquei um pouco mais a ela, pq antes achava super monótono. Muito interessante o blog, estou seguindo. Valeu!
